Vert.x - Asynchronous & Polyglot JVM (Web/Network) Framework
Dominik Dorn will introduce us to the Vert.x Framework - a new way to write asynchronous web applications in Java, Groovy, Ruby, Python or even Javascript that run on the JVM.
Lego Mindstorms LXT with Java
Lego Mindstorms NXT is a construction kit which allows the creation of small programmable robots. Bernhard Löwenstein will demonstrate how these robots can be programmed using the corresponding Java API leJOS. That'll be great fun - not only for kids but for adults as well, promise!
