− | + | I wonder about the cnneioutd breaking of world records I would guess that as technology advances that maybe the big new records will just be set in other sports. This year, the major focus is swimming (as it should be, because have you SEEN Phelps?!) but there are lots of other sports that aren't focused on. As technology for new basketball shoes or whatever comes up, I wonder if that won't become the new thing. But since we keep having all of these new records set, is there a point at which it becomes less special? It's easy to get excited about new records that are set every few years or so, but when they are being broken in every race, it almost makes them more common than rare.Maggie's lastest post.. |
